Policies

Appointment and booking policy

Appointments

  • If you arrive 15 minutes or more late for a scheduled appointment, the service provider reserves the right to refuse service or shorten the duration of the service to avoid delaying their next scheduled appointment. This policy also applies to waxing appointments, with only a five-minute grace period.
  • To secure your appointment, we may request a credit card on file. If you do not have a credit card on file, you may only be accommodated on a walk-in basis, subject to availability.
  • If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact us to reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a minimum Last Minute Cancellation Fee of $25.00.
  • Children under the age of 18 are considered minors and require a parent or guardian's signature on their intake form. For children under 12, it is mandatory for a parent to be present during their session. Aura Massage & Skincare cannot assume responsibility for minors left unattended.
  • For bookings involving multiple persons or multiple services (three or more), a credit card may need to be placed on file to secure the appointments. No charges will occur unless any part of the appointment, or any person in a group booking, is not canceled with at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled appointment time. This includes arriving too late for the service or failing to attend the appointment.

Gift certificates and gift cards

  • Gift certificates and gift cards are not redeemable for cash.
  • We cannot accept or verify lost gift certificates and gift cards.
  • All gift certificates and gift cards must be presented at time of service or you must pay by other means.
  • All gift certificates and gift cards are non-refundable.

Payments

  • Prices subject to change without prior notification.
  • Aura Massage & Skincare cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

Benefits program terms and conditions

Details of the Benefits Program

  • Your Membership entitles you to a 60, 90, or 120 Minute Custom Massage Session or 60 Minute Custom Signature Facial Session (where available) Monthly that will be available the same day every month.
  • You may receive unlimited additional massages during the month for a discounted rate.
  • You receive 5% off all retail products sold at Aura Massage and Skincare.
  • Your Benefits Program Membership is valid only at the Aura Massage and Skincare location where you originally signed up. Although, all Aura Massage and Skincare locations will honor their local Membership price to you as long as you are an active member.
  • Your Membership and monthly credited massage session can be shared with one additional family member.
  • You may use your prepaid towards a 90 minute massage, 120 minute massage, 60 minute facial, hot stone massage, or aromatherapy and pay the difference in price.
  • You may use 2 monthly credited massage sessions you have accumulated towards a 120 minute massage without paying a difference.
  • All Aura Massage and Skincare sessions include five minutes for Check In and Initial Consultation as well as time to undress. All sessions conclude with five minutes for Post-Consultation, guest recommendations and time to redress. As an example, if you book a 60 minute Custom Session from Aura Massage and Skincare, that means 50 minutes of customized hands-on treatment from an expert therapist.
  • If you have a Pre-Paid Package, you must use all of your pre-paid massage sessions prior to the expiration of the Membership.
  • You understand that if you are not able to come in a particular month, you still will be charged and your monthly credited massage sessions will roll-over to the next month.


Cancellation of Your Membership

If you choose to terminate your membership:

  • Your Membership is set up month to month and auto renews until you cancel.
  • You understand that you must sign Aura Massage's “Cancellation Agreement” to cancel your Membership.
  • You understand that you will be charged one future scheduled Benefits Program payment from your account/credit card. You will have 30 days after this payment to use any remaining accumulated massages, after which all accumulated massages, will be forfeited from your account and your Membership will be considered terminated. There will be no refund of any kind on terminated sessions.
  • If you have a Paid in Advance Membership you understand you will not be able to be refunded any money for any portion of your unused massages.


If Aura Massage and Skincare chooses to terminate your Membership

For the any of following reasons Aura Massage and Skincare may cancel your Membership at anytime and all monthly credited sessions will be considered forfeited by you if:

  • You abuse your Membership due to misuse of appointments such as excessive cancellations or no-shows.
  • If you have insufficient funds in your account for your monthly Membership fee two consecutive months in a row from the provided Credit/Debit Card. Use of accumulated monthly credited sessions will not be allowed until a new credit card is updated in our system.
  • Inappropriate behavior from the clients or Therapists will not be tolerated in any manner. Please notify the Manager immediately for appropriate action.
  • You have knowingly given Aura Massage and Skincare false information and credit account information to process your Membership properly.
  • We reserve the right to terminate or deny re-enrollment for an undetermined amount of time for not following any of our Policies & Procedures.


Rewards program terms and conditions

Applicable solely to products or services. Aura Massage and Skincare reserve the right to modify program rules, redemption criteria, and redemption values at their sole discretion. Points carry no cash value, are non-redeemable for the visit on which they are earned, and must fully cover the total cost of a service or goods (partial payments not accepted).

Session Length

Every session duration incorporates five minutes for the initial consultation and undressing, concluding with an additional five minutes for redressing and recommendations. For instance, a 60-minute custom massage session comprises five minutes for the initial consultation and undressing, followed by 50 minutes of hands-on custom massage, and concluding with five minutes for redressing and recommendations.

Aura Massage and Skincare Policies

Aura Massage and Skincare acknowledges the significance of safeguarding the privacy of information provided by users of our websites, subscribers to our services, registrants for our events, and all other customers of our products and services. We have formulated this policy with a fundamental respect for our customers' right to privacy and to steer our interactions with them. This Privacy Statement unveils the privacy practices governing all products and services owned by Aura Massage and Skincare.

Information Collection and Use

Aura Massage and Skincare gathers information from users of our website, subscribers, and other customers. In this segment of our Privacy Statement, we outline the kind of information we collect and how we utilize it to enhance the services provided to our customers.

Registration and Ordering

To utilize our website and access specific services, users are required to register, providing contact details such as name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. This information is utilized for internal communication, delivering requested services, and enhancing the personalized experience for website visitors. Additionally, demographic information may be collected for aggregate analysis to improve services and for marketing or industry reporting purposes.


Certain products and services are complimentary for subscribers meeting specific demographic criteria, and independent auditors may require unique identifiers (e.g., mother’s maiden name) strictly for industry reporting and audit verification purposes.


For paid services like Business Subscriptions, credit card details (account name, number, and expiration date) are collected exclusively for billing purposes and are not shared with others.

Surveys and Contests

Occasionally, we extend invitations to website users and customers to participate in surveys or contests. Participation in these activities is entirely voluntary, granting users the option to disclose contact information (like name and mailing address) and demographic details (such as zip code or job title). Apart from the purposes outlined in this policy, contact information obtained from surveys and contests is utilized to notify winners, distribute prizes, and assess or enhance the website or other products/services provided by Aura Massage and Skincare. Based on the customer's preferences (detailed in the "Permission" section below), this information may also be shared with third-party sponsors involved in these surveys or contests.

Tell-A-Friend

Should customers choose to utilize our referral service to acquaint a friend with our websites and services, we may request their friend's name, interests, and email address. Aura Massage and Skincare will retain and utilize this information to dispatch an invitation to the friend. Additionally, it may be used to furnish details about our company and associated products and services. If the friend wishes to cease further communications, they can contact us as indicated in the tell-a-friend message.

Communications with Us

We offer features allowing our customers to provide information to us, such as through our feedback forms. In instances where these submissions involve requests for service, support, or information, we may relay them to our agents as necessary to provide the most suitable response. Furthermore, we may keep emails and other information sent to us for internal administrative purposes and to enhance our customer service. It's important to note that letters to the editor and similar submissions may be made public, except when they pertain to presently registered businesses, in which case information is not disclosed.

Communications from Us: Service Updates, Special Offers

Aura Massage and Skincare will never send email notifications to users unless they specifically request so.

Automatic Data Collection

Aura Massage and Skincare incorporates features that automatically collect information from customers to deliver content tailored to their interests and preferences, aiding in the creation of products and services aligned with customer needs.


For instance, we utilize "cookies," small data pieces stored on users' hard drives containing information about them. Cookies enhance user experience by requiring login only once, saving time during site visits. If users decline cookies, some areas of our website may have limited functionality, preventing participation in sweepstakes, contests, or drawings.


Internally, we collect date, time, browser type, navigation history, and IP address from all website visitors. This data lacks personally identifiable information and is used for internal security audit logs, trend analysis, system administration, and to compile broad demographic information about our user base.


We may merge demographic information provided by customers at registration with website usage data to create general, aggregate, non-personally identifiable profiles of our customers and their content and advertising preferences. This composite information may be shared with advertisers and business affiliates to enhance their understanding of our services.

With Whom Your Information is Shared

Occasionally, we may furnish targeted lists containing names and offline and online contact information for marketing purposes to third parties, adhering to our Permission policies outlined below. Customers have the option to exclude their name or contact details from disclosure to third parties.


Apart from the above, we do not disclose personally identifiable information to external companies, except for those acting as our agents to provide our product(s)/service(s). These agents agree to use the information solely for the designated purpose, maintaining its security and confidentiality. Our parent, subsidiary, and affiliate companies, along with entities resulting from a potential merger involving our company, or those to which our assets, products, sites, or operations may be transferred, can also access personal information.


Information will be disclosed when required by law, such as responding to a court order, subpoena, or other legal obligation, fulfilling a law enforcement agency's request, or in specific instances where we believe disclosure is essential to identify, contact, or pursue legal action against someone causing injury to our rights or property, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Users should note that courts of equity, like U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, may have the authority under certain circumstances to permit the sharing or transfer of personal information to third parties without permission.


We may share non-personally identifiable aggregate information, encompassing usage and demographic data, excluding personal details.

Updating Personal Information

If your personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code), or if you no longer desire our product(s)/service(s), we provide a way to correct or update your personal data: you may contact Customer Support at 248-360-6157 or info@auramassageandskincare.com to change your preferences.

Permission

Our customers have the option to decide whether they wish to receive information from our affiliates and us that is not directly linked to the product or service for which they registered or agreed to receive. Additionally, customers can choose whether they want their personal information shared with third parties for marketing purposes.


It's important to note that we will make efforts to fulfill your permission requests within a reasonable timeframe. However, there might be a period during which you could still receive mailings or other communications based on information released before your request was implemented. Furthermore, even after the request is executed, your page will continue to update information directly associated with the service for which you registered or agreed to receive, ensuring you stay informed.

Security

We take reasonable precautions to safeguard our customers' personal information and store it securely. Any sensitive information transmitted to us online, such as credit card numbers (applicable only to businesses), is encrypted and securely transmitted. Access to all customer information, including the mentioned sensitive details, is restricted. Our servers, where personally identifiable information is stored, are maintained in a secure environment.
